Seven Oaks Recreation, “Your Destination for Outdoor Recreation” offers year – round outdoor recreation for all ages. Located on about 160 acres just four miles west of Boone on highway 30, Seven Oaks is ready to serve individuals, families, small and large groups.
According to General Manager, Joel Bryan, Seven Oaks is celebrating its 14th season for snow skiing (with approximately 550 ski rentals) and snowboarding (with approximately 120 rentals). Bryan states “Expansion has occurred every year we have existed with snow tubing being added in the winter of 2001. We also added a second triple-chair lift in 2008. The snowboard park, snow tubing park and all ski trails are lighted; we make our own snow when required and groom the trails daily. Our heated lodge which was expanded in 2005 and again in 2008 provides seating for approximately 225 with a great view of the trails. The lodge also consists of Coal Creek Lounge and fast food.”
We are a family owned business that works hard to maintain a family friendly environment for our guests. That is part of the reason we continue to offer free ski and snowboard lessons. Bryan added he is the third generation in the ski industry as his grandparents started Fun Valley Ski Area in 1970 (now closed) and his father started Seven Oaks in 1997.

During the spring, summer and fall Seven Oaks offers full service canoe, kayak and river tube floats; paintball (with rental equipment available); tent camping; hiking trails; mountain bike trails (7+ miles for daily riding & scheduled races). Additionally, the lodge at Seven Oaks is a popular location for weddings, receptions, reunions and such during the non winter months.
