Ski Martock
Nova Scotia
Martock offers terrain for every type of skier. Most of the terrain is novice to high intermediate and groomed to perfection. Skiers can challenge themselves in the Terrain Park or Half Pipe. The goal is to provide features to challenge novice to expert skiers/snowboarders of all ages. All alpine trails are lit for night skiing.
All downhill trails including the terrain park and half pipe are lit for night skiing and snowboarding enjoyment. The majority of our terrain consists of low to high intermediate with the Buttermilk for beginners and Shane's Solution for experts. Both the terrain park and half pipe are considered expert terrain.
Nordic skiing is available during daylight hours. Martock offers 5 kms of trails through a mixed coniferous and hardward forest. With 100% of snowmaking we provide consistent conditions even when Mother Nature cannot. Our skiing surface is machine groomed with track setting.
Snowboarding has grown steadily since it started at Martock in the mid-1980’s. Martock has produced 2 snowboard Olympians, Trevor Andrew and Sarah Conrad. Sarah competed in halfpipe at the 2006 Torino Games and the 2010 Vancouver Games. Trevor competed in the 1998 Nagano Games and in the 2002 Salt Lake City Games. At the 2011 Canada Winter Games local riders Dallas Rourke and Jeremy Page both won silver in Halfpipe.
Martock was the first resort in Atlantic Canada to install a Halfpipe. Since then an ever improving Terrain Park has been added. The goal is to provide features to challenge novice up to expert snowboarders/skiers.
