Mont Saint-Sauveur
Quebec
Mont Saint-Sauveur is in a class apart. Daytime, it's out-of-this-world ski conditions; at night, it shimmers and sparkles in the snow. This is the largest night-skiing resort anywhere. It's sate-of-the-art lifts, grooming and lodge provide skiers with unparalled performance and comfort. This really is the in place for ski lovers. The magic goes on for 7 months - the longest ski season anywhere in Quebec.
The ski industry in Quebec was born in Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts, a small village in the Laurentians. In 1934 the American Fred Pabst had installed the first ski lift on Hill 70, which quickly became one of the ski slopes of the most popular of the eastern United States. Eleven years later, a group of businessmen joined Victor Nymark to form UPHILL LTD, a company that would initiate the development of the site. An American first, a crossbow imported from Austria, was built east of the Coast 71 in 1948.
